Have finished Deathly Hallows and have had time to absorb it all.  Needed time to get over the fact that there will be no more after this. 
Loved this book and so many questions were answered. A few weren't but since they aren't central to the plot we can just have fun speculating again.
The epilogue was a great idea but a bit vague. I'm so glad I have since seen/read a few interviews with Jo where she explains a lot more.

I want a really good director to do the last movie. Someone who knows how to do battle scenes. Someone like George Lucas or Peter Jackson please!

Well, not long to go now.   A little bit more than one day and I will have the last HP book in my hot little hands.  I'm just so disappointed that there have been so many leaks about this book.  It's sad that a few losers and idiots have to get satisfaction from trying to ruin this book for dedicated fans.  All I can say to them is 'GET A LIFE SCUM!' 
I was discussing on another forum about queing up for the book and how you will invariably get some smart arse kid telling everyone how the story goes.  If it does happen to me I will have a few choice words of my own to say regardless if they are accompanied by adults and are bigger than me (very easily done since I'm only 150cm short).
As for the morons who have posted Deathly Hallows stuff on the net I hope the publishers hunt them down and use the full extent of the law to punish them. 
Rant over, I'll get off my soapbox now.

Ok, I know I haven't posted in here for ages (38 weeks LJ tells me! Yikes!) but feel I must say something now that the end is near.
No, I'm not moving into another world/life. I mean the end of my favourite obsession, Harry Potter.  I can hardly wait for the final book and yet find myself wishing I could hold back time (oh for a timeturner) to savour this moment a little longer.  I know I will simply devour 'Deathly Hallows' overnight but some part of me still wishes I could hold onto the series for a few more years.  The theorising and predicting and friendships I have made during the last few years because of this interest are priceless and have saved my sanity many times when I was so tired, grumpy and mad at the world I wanted to scream. 
Here's to a fitting end to my beloved Harry Potter and may he continue to enrich my life and that of my friends. May we all grow old together and continue making up even wilder theories about Harry and co possible future after Voldemort's demise (I am an eternal optimist)

It's been a while since I posted mainly because I've been away on holidays and was super busy when we eventually did come home.  Back a work now and have not stopped to spend some decent time online for ages.  I'm beginning to wonder just how much more I can cram into my waking hours?  There are days when I fall asleep on the sofa before the news comes on and while dinner is cooking!!  And I was never the type to nap, NEVER! 
With work, kids after school stuff, hubby on shift work (again!), elderly parents (both sides), housework, and volunteering at the school I never seem to get time alone.  Forget spending time with my partner, I want time out from the whold lot of them. Still, I do get most Tuesdays off when I do not do anything for anyone, no matter how much my husband whines, LOL!

Sixxy, I did the HP test and it was so easy, I'm an DD of course, top marks for my (advanced) age and gender.

Haven't updated in so long! Not much is happening other than muggle life getting in the way again. Actually been very busy at work with new "healthy" menu ideas now in full swing. The kids are getting used to them LOL!
Been doing a little redecorating around the house after my new curtains finally arrived. Shopping for a rug and some little homewares to decorate dining table, side tables etc. Picked up a really cool lamp for 1/2 price a few days ago so the family room is starting to look very nice now.

About time I updated. 

School holidays are nearly over for my kids and I'm so glad.  I didn't get anywhere near the time I needed to get things done around home, someone was always underfoot. I pointed this out to hubby as he was going out yet again and he said, but you have one day a week off work!  What I replied is unrepeatable.  So next time he aske me to do something on my DAY OFF guess what the answer will be.
We did get to see Superman at the beginning of the 2week break and I loved it. Today (Saturday) I went with the kids to see POTC2. Wow! What a story. Full of action, swordfights, plenty of funny moments and a very unexpected twist at the very end.  I love a good yarn and this has to be one of the best around today. And what about THAT kiss, hooley dooley did they steam up the screen or what! All I want now is the remote from "Click" so I can fast-forward to next year for POTC3. Oh! and OoTP and HP book7. Don't ask for much do I?
Anyway, it's back to work on Monday which means I may actually get more time here funnily enough. I never quite figure out why I get more hours online when I'm working that when I'm supposedly having holidays. Of course I would never imply that my family is demanding .....

I didn't watch the soccer last night as it was on too late for me. Woke up to hear on the local radio that Australia won against Japan 3 - 1!!!! YES!!
By the sounds of the street parties going on you would think we had already won the cup. It's to be expected I suppose Australia hasn't been in any finals for about 30 years.
